On June 4, SNVC finalist teams will present to a panel of distinguished judges and compete for more than $100,000 in cash prizes and additional specialized awards. Doors open for the 2019 SNVC at 9:15 a.m., and the program will begin at 10 a.m. We expect a crowd, so get there early to secure a seat! (The event is also live streamed for those who cannot attend.)

Immediately following the presentations, join us for the Taste the Impact reception featuring catering from food-focused, mission-driven organizations based in Chicago. The Taste the Impact reception will culminate in the announcement of the 2019 SNVC winners—so stick around to congratulate these up-and-coming social entrepreneurs!

Both the SNVC finals and the Taste the Impact reception are part of UChicago's Innovation Fest. The SNVC is the social impact track of the Edward L. Kaplan, '71 New Venture Challenge (NVC), the university's nationally ranked accelerator program.

About the John Edwardson, '72, Social New Venture Challenge: In 2011, given growing student interest in social entrepreneurship, Chicago Booth and the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation developed a new track of the NVC uniquely focused on new social ventures. The Social NVC, run by Booth's Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation and the Polsky Center, helps students launch for-profit and nonprofit ventures that have a social impact mission and a model for financial sustainability.
